MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Experience applying and interpreting fiscal law, policies, regulations, principles, standards, and/or procedures to financial management activities. 2. Experience analyzing financial data, budgetary, and/or program issues to provide recommendations. 3. Experience reviewing, processing, and reconciling financial transactions. 4. Experience drafting and presenting financial data summaries to stakeholders. 5. Demonstrated experience providing customer service support regarding financial transactions. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Public Administration, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience in researching financial issues and evaluating financial operating statements, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to 1 year of experience. Candidates should show their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in researching financial issues and evaluating financial operating statements, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties associated with this work. -AND- LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Security Cooperation Workforce Development Program (SCWDP) Certification may be required for this position. New workforce members or members transferring to a different or higher skill level will have, upon position entry, 36 months, depending on the SCWDP Tier required, to achieve their certification. Current members must maintain their current certification by achieving 60 hours Continuous Learning hours every 24 months. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Demonstrated knowledge of fund balance accounting. 2. Demonstrated experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving financial issues. 3. Experience interpreting, developing, and/or applying financial regulations, policies, and procedures. 4. Ability to obtain DoD FM certification, Level 2, within two years of onboarding.
