To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the Basic Qualification Requirements of the position: Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position such as child development or early childhood education. OR Combination of education and experience--courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above. In addition to meeting the Basic Qualification Requirements, applicants must have at least 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent degree in a subject-matter field appropriate to this position such as child development or early childhood education. OR, At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
