Job Summary
This position will be assigned to the JBSA Lackland Lodging Facilities. This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week, may work up to 40hrs/week. Employees appointed to regular category positions are eligible for benefits. Must be able to bend, lift, and work in awkward positions both indoors and outdoors. Must be able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.

Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience in general maintenance work to include basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical duties. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: 1. Must possess knowledge of woodworking techniques and basic shop mathematics to plan, layout, measure, cut, construct, and install materials according to dimensional requirements and specifications where fit and accuracy are within specified tolerances. 2. Must possess knowledge of standard plumbing methods and techniques including a knowledge of flow and drainage. 3. Must possess knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. 4. Skills in joining and sealing elbows, faucets, shower drains, plastic, metal, and title pipes, and similar items. 5. Skill to operate and maintain hand and power tools and equipment. 6. Ability to read and follow specific directions that explain how to apply and use prepared solvents and hot to thin and sir coating materials. **NOTE: Those qualified applicants who meet both the minimum qualification requirement(s) and highly preferred criteria(s) will be considered best qualified for this position and will be referred to the selecting official(s) first for consideration.
