Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have demonstrated journalistic experience and skills in writing, editing, spelling, grammar formatting techniques, proper punctuation, and proofreading. A working knowledge of FSS is highly desirable. Must have general knowledge of office automation software (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite) Must be proficient in English and demonstrated. Must possess and demonstrate the ability to write, copy, research, organize, select, and arrange material for projects of varying degrees of complexity from concept to final product. Knowledge of Air Force/Public Affairs regulations and guidelines for publishing; use of logos; paid advertising in produced publications; use of endorsement disclaimer and copyright credits is highly desirable. May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must demonstrate good customer service, strong communication skills, and ability to work with little supervision. This is a position of trust.
