Job Summary

This position is located within, Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties necessary for the maintenance of the Golf Course greens, tees, fairways, rough and adjacent areas to keep them in the best possible playing condition. Incumbent will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, however, during the Golf season will be assigned to the Golf Program.

Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. A qualified candidate must possess: Must be able to read, write and understand both written and verbal instructions, be a high school graduate or equivalent, and have a minimum 1 year documented experience in golf course maintenance. Must have a general knowledge of maintenance of fine turf, trees and ornamentals and have the ability to operate a variety of equipment pertinent to golf course maintenance. Ability to operate vehicles such as pick-up trucks and 5-ton dump trucks with manual transmission. Must have the ability to operate all types of turf maintenance equipment.
