Job Summary
This position is located within Navy Region Southwest Fleet Family Readiness (FFR) Department and is responsible for multiple and varied food and beverage facilities at Naval Air Station Fallon (NASF). Responsible for the oversight of the food and beverage operations within the designated installation.
Job Description
One year of specialized experience managing a food and beverage operation that includes programming, marketing, catering and banquet operations Four-year degree in Food & Beverage Management or Business Administration OR four years equivalent experience that includes specialized training in a variety of food and beverage service facilities, programming, marketing, catering and banquet operations The incumbent must possess a detailed knowledge of the goals, principles and techniques of a food and beverage service operation. Related education or experience in personnel management and advertising is required. Must be able to make favorable personnel contacts with all levels of management personnel, command officials, and department employees. Extensive experience in a supervisory capacity and/or business environment requiring in-depth knowledge in all phases of a food and beverage operation including entertainment and programming. Must have extensive background in budgeting, financial management and planning. Must be able to travel, visit other facilities, appraise different services and evaluate similarities and differences according to their respective missions as they related to our services. Must be a positive leader, able to influence the actions of others in obtaining cooperation and assistance to meet the NRSW mission and vision. Must be fully experience in dealing and communicating with others; must have abilities to negotiate, settle disputes; obtains and maintains good relations. Must be able to present and sell initial ideas, plans and programs for approval of the N9 IPD and NRSW Dining Services Program Manager.
