About the position: This position is located at the Eifel Arms Inn on Spangdahlem AB, Germany. This is a Regular part-time position in which the incumbent may work between 20-34 hours per week, days and nights, Monday through Sunday. The purpose of this position is to perform facility maintenance, grounds maintenance duties, and related tasks for all lodging areas. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience or training in building maintenance in the areas of carpentry, plumbing and electrical areas that demonstrated the ability to perform minor repairs using common hand and power tools. Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Physical Effort: Continuous walking, standing, stooping, bending reaching, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs. Use power tools and equipment such as hammers, saws, planes, drills, chisels, paintbrushes, spray guns, wire brushes, rollers, and putty knives. Frequently lifts and moves equipment, furniture, components, and objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside under all type of weather conditions. Exposed to the possibility of cuts, bruises, chemical exposures, and electric shock. The equipment tools, and tasks involved frequently require extreme care and use of safety gloves, earplugs, safety glasses, cold weather clothing. Safety consciousness is always paramount.
