Job Description
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-15: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Experience performing a wide range of applied microeconomic research in fields such as regulatory and tax policy issues; AND - Experience presenting the results of such analyses, studies, and research, both orally and in writing, to senior level officials; AND - Experience presenting authoritative advice on proposed tax legislation and economic provisions; AND - Experience developing models to analyze tax policy issues and produce revenue estimates and receipts forecasts, using micro-simulation, econometric and other statistical techniques; AND - Experience leading economic and policy teams to analyze and develop models for large scale projects, such as multinational agreements. Specialized experience for the GS-14: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Experience providing authoritative advice on proposed tax legislation and economic provisions; AND - Experience conducting economic analysis and studies, in fields such as public finance and tax policy issues; AND - Experience developing models to analyze tax policy issues and produce revenue estimates and receipts forecasts, using micro-simulation, econometric and other statistical techniques; AND - Experience performing a wide range of applied microeconomic research, in fields such as public finance and tax policy issues; AND- Experience preparing analytical research findings for Congressional testimony. Specialized experience for the GS-13: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Experience conducting economic analysis and studies, in fields such as public finance and tax policy issues; AND - Experience developing models to analyze tax policy issues and produce revenue estimates and receipts forecasts, using micro-simulation, econometric and other statistical techniques; AND - Experience performing a wide range of applied microeconomic research, in fields such as public finance and tax policy issues; AND - Experience presenting the results of such analyses, studies, and research, both orally and in writing, to a variety of audiences. Specialized experience for the GS-12: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Experience conducting economic analysis and studies, in fields such as public finance and tax policy issues; AND - Experience performing a wide range of applied microeconomic research, in fields such as public finance and tax policy issues; AND - Experience presenting the results of such analyses, studies, and research, both orally and in writing, to a variety of audiences. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
