Job Summary

This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Assistant Commissioner Disbursing and Debt Management. As a Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will be responsible for ensuring good security and risk management practices are implemented, assisting in the development of the system security plan and ensuring compliance with that plan.
Job Description
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé. For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Serve as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) or demonstrate experience in preparing or reviewing various IT security documentation such as: System Security Plans, Contingency Plans, Configuration Management Plans, Risk Assessments and Plan of action and milestones mitigation strategies; AND - Provide advice for the design, development, and implementation of information security policies, programs, standards, procedures, and controls to ensure the security and reliability of information system; AND - Experience applying laws and policies such as Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Appendix III of the OMB Circular A-130, NIST 800-53, FIPS 200 and FIPS 199 for the purpose of securing cloud/web based applications. In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
