Job Summary
As a Resource Management Officer at the GS-0301-15, you will be part of Retirement Services, reporting to the Deputy Associate Director of Enterprise Enablement. The Incumbent will be responsible for the resource management program and activities including financial management, human capital management, and administrative management. RS is the largest component of the US Office of Personnel Management with nearly 1000 employees and an operating budget of over $100M.
Job Description
For the GS 15: You must have at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-14 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) which required you to perform the following duties: 1) Perform resource management functions for a large government program, including budget formulation and execution, financial oversight for resource utilization, and acquisition support. 2)Manage organizational activities and program operations which include developing strategies, determining resource requirements, establishing deadlines, monitoring progress, and evaluating program and operational effectiveness. Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-14 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS15 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
