Job Description
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years old AND have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school. (Valid documentation will be required upon hire.) Knowledge and experience in clerical and administrative procedures such as managing files and records, compiling statistics, to include good organizational skills. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Proven success in a professional working environment working individually as well as in a team environment. Library experience is preferred. Have a strong command of the English language to include written and oral skills. Knowledge in Microsoft Programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Demonstrated excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse customers. Knowledge in any makerspace technology domain to include: 3D printing, graphic design, virtual reality, embedded systems, coding, robotics, digital music production, video editing, or digital animation preferred. Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include weekends, holidays, and evenings. Must be able to perform prolonged standing, walking, reaching, pushing a loaded book truck, and frequent light to moderate lifting up to 40 lbs independently. Must be able to travel to other camps to fill in temporarily during staff shortages. Must be able to work on the bookmobile and travel to specified bookmobile stop locations.
