Job Summary

This position is within the US Fire Administration. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working with an automated inventory control systems to include ordering and purchasing through purchase card and GSA accounts, and conducting inventory and maintaining accountability of property, supplies, and equipment.

The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement. GS-07-Inventory Management Specialist To qualify for this position at the GS-07 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Assist in distribution or redistribution of stock within supply system; and Assist in researching procurement data for purchases; and Assist in analyzing, investigating, and determining inventory discrepancies. OR One full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement OR Combination of education and experience. GS-09 Inventory Management Specialist To qualify for this position at the GS-09 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Maintains facility supply and inventory operations and performs analytical work to manage, regulate, and coordinate property, supplies, and equipment; and Controls the distribution or redistribution of stock within supply system; and Conducts research and prepares request in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
