Job Description

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is experience which is directly related to the position to be filled and which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. GS-09 - Must have at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, GS-07. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply functions, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures. Experience in cost estimates, budgets, or funding management. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support. Experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. Formulates and recommends operating procedures to achieve optimum support to the logistics program on matters pertaining to property accountability. Develops and provides data for property accountability of supported units/activities. Directs and provides written technical guidance to unit/activity representatives involving property book procedures and functions. Analyzes results of property book reconciliations to determine if systemic problems exist. Analyze trends for effectiveness and efficiency. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates and hours worked per week for each occurrence of both civilian and military employment (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only will result in disqualification. Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Your experience will be evaluated on the basis of duties performed. Your record of experience and/or training must show possession of the following knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position: - Practical knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts and methodologies in one or more of the technical supply specializations. - Ability to perform recurring kinds of assignments, operations and/or procedures in providing services and resolving issues and problems of a procedural nature in supply operations, planning or program management. Utilizes knowledge of cost, existing policies and procedures in accomplishing work assignments. - Ability to analyze information and trace sequence of transactions to resolve problems. - Ability to direct the work of subordinate employees in accomplishing the work of the unit.
