Job Summary

Facilities & Engineering Services (AJW-2) is responsible for the safe and effective lifecycle management of the facilities infrastructure of the National Airspace System (NAS). This position is in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Technical Operations Services (AJW), Facilities and Engineering Services (F&ES) Directorate, Facilities & Security Services Group (AJW-2400).

Job Description

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I, FG/GS-13 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized Experience is defined as: Experience in Facility Sustainment design, construction management and or program management. Quality Ranking Factors (QRFs): In addition to the above, this position also has Quality Ranking Factors (QRFs). While this experience is not mandatory, applicants possessing this experience will be placed in a Well-Qualified category and referred to the selecting official. [NOTE: For proper consideration, applicants are encouraged to be specific in demonstrating this experience.] Experience with managing projects in and the operation of critical NAS Facilities, especially Terminal ATCT and TRACON facilities.
