Job Summary

This position is part of the Blackfeet Dormitory, Bureau of Indian Education. As a Business Technician you will be responsible for serving as a Business Technician (Human Resources) in a BIE School on or near the Reservation. The Business Technician (Human Resources) position is the major support position for the BIE School.

Who May Apply: Applicants with Indian Preference All U.S. Citizens Qualifications: In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements contained in the approved job category for P.L. 95-561 described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Education AND Experience Requirements for the Business Technician 0303-02: Sixty (60) semesters hours in a related field AND one (1) year of related experience OR Associate's Degree in a related field AND one (1) year of related experience OR High School or General Educational Development (GED) Diploma AND three (3) years of related experience. Related technical areas are: Business Accounting Finance Human Resources Related experience could include bookkeeper, budget clerk, financial clerk, purchasing clerk, human resources clerk, or other similar clerical and administrative support functions.
