In this position you will serve a Supervisory Civilian Pay Technician - CPT supervising subordinate CPT's and perform civilian pay program work in direct support of the VHA - at Richard A. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN.

Job Description

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Possess least one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this Supervisory Civilian Pay Technician position? To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-7 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes leading/overseeing payroll processing; providing guidance to staff; developing presentations and training for staff; utilizing an automated pay system; and resolving pay and time/attendance issues. (Resume(s) must clearly support the duties and experience required for this position. We will not make assumptions regarding experience.) You will be rated on the following Competencies as part of the assessment questionnaire for this position: Attention to Detail Budget Administration Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Data Systems Leadership Problem Solving IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Physical Requirements: The Supervisory CPT performs sedentary work. There may be some walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The work is normally performed in an office setting. The work environment involves every-day risks or discomforts, which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting, and training rooms.
