In this position you will serve a Supervisory Civilian Pay Technician - CPT supervising subordinate CPT's and perform civilian pay program work in direct support of the VHA - at Richard A. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Possess least one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this Supervisory Civilian Pay Technician position? To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-7 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes leading/overseeing payroll processing; providing guidance to staff; developing presentations and training for staff; utilizing an automated pay system; and resolving pay and time/attendance issues. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Physical Requirements: The Supervisory CPT performs sedentary work. There may be some walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The work is normally performed in an office setting. The work environment involves every-day risks or discomforts, which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting, and training rooms.
