BASIC REQUIREMENT: Requirements for Community Planner 0020: Community Planning Series 0020 (opm.gov) Requirements for Social Scientist 0101: Social Science Series 0101 (opm.gov) Requirements for Economist 0110: Economist Series 0110 (opm.gov) Requirements for Biologist 0401: General Natural Resources Management and Biological Sciences Series 0401 (opm.gov) Requirements for Civil Engineer 0810 and Environmental Engineer 0819: All Professional Engineering Positions, 800 Requirements for Physical Scientist 1301: General Physical Science Series, 1301 (opm.gov) In addition to meeting one or more of the basic requirements above, you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Conducts and exercises oversight for nationwide water resources software; 2) assembles cross-agency federal coalitions to collaboratively solve challenging nationwide water resources problems such as: flood risk management, consequence analyses, risk and uncertainty assessments and ecological analyses; and 3) plan the program from the viewpoint of flood risk management and ecosystems analyses. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-14 or above. NO SUBSTITUTION FOR EXPERIENCE: Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, both the individual occupational (basic) requirement AND the specialized experience requirement must be met; no substitution of education for specialized experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Engineering Management Managing Human Resources Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
