About the Position: Serve as a lead construction representative with overall responsibility for maintaining long-term and day-to-day surveillance over the full range of office and field activities associated with contract consturction activities for a large number of projects.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes surveillance, monitoring and controlling construction of buildings of all types to ensure compliance with contract documents and to ensure proper construction materials and techniques; reviewing construction technical data for progress reports, preparing data for processing of pay estimates for construction projects; enforcing construction industry and safety standards on construction projects; and assigning work and tasks to others on a team. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Ability to communicate. Construction/Architect & Engineering (A&E) Leadership Project Management Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
