Job Description
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies and the screen out listed below as described in your resume. The Screen-out Element for this position is: THE ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF AN MAINTENANCE MECHANIC WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION INCLUDING: 1) Troubleshooting, repairing and installing a variety of industrial systems and equipment such as electrical intrusion alarm and fire alarm systems, security monitoring and access systems, closed circuit TV monitor systems, and personal computer systems, etc.; 2) Ensuring work is in compliance with specifications and completed within required time frames; 3) Locating, repairing malfunctions of systems and testing completed work; 4) Utilizing standard test procedures, schematics, test/computer program instructions, technical manuals and technical change directives to complete assignments. ****NOTE: This experience must be fully and clearly supported in your resume.
