You will serve as a TECHNICAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST (WEB SERVICES) in the Dudley Knox Library of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.

Job Description

Applicants must meet one of the following basic requirements from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards: You have completed a full 4-year course of study that meets all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in library science, information management, or another closely related field. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COMPLETE COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPTS OR AN ITEMIZED LIST OF COLLEGE COURSES WHICH INCLUDES EQUIVALENT INFORMATION FROM THE TRANSCRIPT. or You possess at least four years of experience that provided knowledge of the basic principles, theories, practices, techniques, and terminology of a discipline or subject-matter field and an understanding of the standard methods, procedures, and techniques of research and analysis in the subject-matter field. The subject matter fields for this position are library science, information management or another closely related field. Such experience must have been equivalent to that which would have been gained through a 4-year college curriculum. or You have a combination of education as described above and experience as described above. In addition to meeting the basic requirements above, applicants must meet the following Specialized Experience: GS-12-Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Designing automated and web-based applications; 2) Utilizing statistical analysis tools to evaluate website usage and improve web design; and 3) Demonstrating experience using content management systems (CMS). GS-11-Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using automated and web-based systems; 2) Utilizing knowledge in current web design and information architecture practices; and 3) Providing customer service and demonstrating ability to effectivity communicate both orally and written.
