Job Summary
Supervisory Computer Assisted Ordering Technicians provide direction, guidance and supervision to the CAO technicians in order to maintain accurate perpetual inventory balance on hand (BOH) levels which in turn determines optimum ordering quantities and ensures product availability for patrons.
Job Description
You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume (and/or transcript if necessary) must clearly show that you have the qualifications described below. See Required Documents for more information. Experience: One (1) year of demonstrated knowledge of (specialized experience) equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Examples of qualifying experience include: Using hand-held terminals to gather date necessary to update and adjust inventory. Ensuring optimal shelf space allocation for available stock. Ordering product. Maintaining perpetual inventory. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Additional Requirements that must be met by the closing date: Physical requirements: (1) Must be able to lift items up to 40 lbs without assistance. (2) Physical exertion such as long periods of standing, bending, lifting, carrying and reaching while searching for stock and replenishing shelves is required. (3) Work may be performed in the freeze and chill boxes exposing incumbent to extremes in temperature. You will attest to your ability to perform these physical requirements in the Questionnaire. Time-in-grade applies to the promotion of current and former federal employees who hold or have held a permanent GS position in either the competitive or excepted service in the previous 52 weeks, including current employees applying under VEOA. Time after competitive appointment.
