Job Summary
As a Financial Technology Policy Specialist in the Office of Financial Technology, you will serve as an advisor to the Director and OCC senior management and staff on a wide range of issues, proposals, and other matters regarding emerging trends and, innovation within the federal banking system affecting the OCC's regulated institutions. This position is located in Office of Financial Technology in Bank Supervision Policy (BSP) headquartered in Washington, DC.
Job Description
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-V band level (GS-13). Examples of specialized experience for this position include: *Experience applying bank supervision or other financial sector regulations, policies, concepts and/or procedures to identify risk, and evaluate emerging trends or innovative technologies in the financial services industry; AND *Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., bankers, financial services or technology professionals, or internal colleagues) to provide counsel, insight, or advice regarding emerging trends or innovative technologies in the financial services industry. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
