About the Position: This position serves as the Front End Manager/Customer Service Manager at the Camp Foster Japan Commissary responsible for all aspects of planning, scheduling, coordinating, and controlling front end activities and personnel and for controlling all funds received and deposited daily as a part of customer service department operations.

To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: operating an electronic checkout system or cash register; accepting diverse payment methods (cash, check, credit/debit card, etc.) and making correct change for customers; providing guidance to other employees on specific tasks and job techniques and providing assistance with problems; counting change fund and setting up cash drawers; and reconciling monetary items received during the business day with sales receipts to ensure they balance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service, GS-07. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Ability to plan and organize work Manages Resources Quality Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
