Job Summary
This position is located in the Department of Justice (DOJ), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Operations Division (OC), Office of Operations Management (OM), Operations Budget Section (OMB). This position(s) primary purpose is to provide expert financial and budgetary services development, review, analysis, and maintenance in support of DEA's Operations.
Job Description
Applicants must meet all of the required qualification requirements described below by the closing of this announcement. You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrate your ability in: ) Planning, managing, and executing the functions and activities of a financial program for an organization, including instructing others on financial management execution; 2) Providing expert advice and guidance on the interpretation of financial and budget laws, regulations, policies and procedures to leadership, customers, and subordinates; 3) Evaluates use of financial resources to ensure appropriate use of funding sources; 4) Assesses and revises policies and procedures as needed to find ways to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of work; and, 5) Monitoring obligations and expenditures of an organization's program. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
