Job Summary

This position is in the Division of Facilities Management and Engineering, Office of Environmental Health & Engineering Service. The locations of the position will be at the Billings Area Office (BAO), Billings, MT or Northern Cheyenne Service Unit (NCSU), Lame Deer, MT. The actual location will be determined during the selection process.

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): all-professional-engineering-positions-0800.pdf (opm.gov) In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-9) in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Researching and applying engineering principles and practices to solve practical engineering problems related to facility management operations; Identifying deficiencies in engineering operations to make recommendations for performance improvements; and providing technical written and oral guidance and instruction on facility management operations OR 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
