Job Description
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-04 Grade Level:Your resume must demonstrate at least 6 months of general work experience and 6 months of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-03 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Experience in trade or craft work where mathematics is utilized such as measurements, computer skills with use of software for reviewing emails, keeping daily task schedules and/or use of data collection. -OR- Completion of 2 years of post secondary study that included at least 12 semester hours in any combination of courses such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics. -OR- A combination of specialized experience and education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position. If education is used to meet specialized experience requirements, then such education must include at least 12 semester hours in any combination of courses such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics. GS-05 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Experience in utilizing math such as measurements, geometry, use of computer software for data collection, and general surveying. -OR- Completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor`s degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction, or industrial technology; OR (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics. -OR- A combination of specialized experience and education (in excess of the first 60 semester hours) that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for the position. Your education must have included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics. GS-06 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Experience utilizing mathematics such as measurements, use of computer software for data collection for project work, use of computer software, general surveying, and drafting.
