Job Summary
The purpose of this Recreation Fee Technician at Devils Tower National Monument position is to perform a variety of duties associated with the collection, deposit, tracking, and expenditure of fee revenue and donations collected from the public under legal authorities such as the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act. One position will be placed in a permanent full-time work schedule. One position will be placed in a permanent career-seasonal work schedule (see "Additional Information").
Job Description
All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-12/11/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience. To qualify for the Recreation Fee Technician position at the GS-05 grade, you must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: Handling, tracking, or depositing monies; using software programs to maintain financial/accounting data (e.g.: fee and stock data); performing fee collection, accounting, or financial duties; ensuring accountability of funds and accurate financial records. You must include your resume with hours worked per week annotated. OR EDUCATION: Successful completion of 4 years of education above a high school (120 semester hours or 180 quarter hours) leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. You must include transcripts attached to your application. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. Equivalent combination of experience and education that, together, equal 100% of the qualification standards listed above when combined.
