Job Summary
This position is located within the Office of the Vice President, in the Department of Policy and Evaluation, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). Although the position is advertised equivalent to GS-13, MCC uses a pay banded system to compensate employees. This position is pay band 4A which is generally equal to GS-13.
Job Description
To qualify for pay band 4A applicants must meet the following: Qualifying experience for Pay Band 4A includes one year of specialized experience (comparable to the Pay Band 4B or GS-12 or equivalent non-federal experience), which is directly related to the work of this position, and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. For this position, examples of specialized experience are: performing a variety of administrative support, confidential and special assignments and research for senior staff; preparing briefing papers, talking points, and background materials for senior management; providing technical and logistical support for meetings and special events including events calendars, meeting schedules, travel itineraries, spacing, attendees, etc.; preparing budget requests and tracking and preparing reports on the status of expenditures; and communicating, orally and in writing in order to draft, proofread and edit documents, memoranda, charts, reports, analyses, etc. Note: This experience MUST be well documented within your resume or application. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit may be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. To receive credit you must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours worked per week. Salary may be set from the minimum to the midpoint of the salary range of the pay band. In some instances, based on a selectee's extensive experience directly related to the position, salary may be set at or above the mid-point up to the maximum salary for that pay band.
