Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Experience providing transition assistance to service members departing military service, veterans and family members; (2) Liaison and coordinate with internal and external agencies, service providers, and government organizations to ensure mandatory transition requirements are met; (3) Coordinate and organize bi-annual mandated career fair events; (4) Analyzing data to evaluate transitional program services; (5) Ability to prepare and/or conduct briefings or presentations; (6) Coordinating workshops/seminars to promote transitional programs; and (7) Using automated systems to prepare reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Budget Administration Human Resources Management Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
