Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Materials Handler Leader without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common tasks leading a crew or group to accomplish assigned projects and daily operational functions; ensure workers are aware of the proper processes to accomplish assigned tasks; answer questions on overall work operations and/or problems; work along with others and set the pace. Operating warehouse automated supply program system; plan for issue of stock in order to assign stock locations; and operate forklifts to load and unload items. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. Ability To Lead or Supervise Dexterity and Safety Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order) Physical Efforts: Work is performed on hard surfaces that require long periods of standing, stooping, bending, walking and climbing ladders. Incumbent frequently lifts and carries stock that weighs up to 40pounds, and occasionally lifts items weighing over 40 pounds. May be required to work at rapid paces for extended periods of time. Working Conditions: Work is performed inside a warehouse in a bind area. The area may be cold, drafty, damp or hot. There is considerable possibility of cuts, scrapes, strains, and bruises; falls from ladders or injury from conveyor systems and falling or dropped stock.
