In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. MILITARY GRADES: E-3 (A1C) to E-6 (TSgt) Failure to obtain a compatible AFSC may result in termination of employment. GENERAL AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: WG (WU Puerto Rico only) - Experience or training that has provided the candidate with the ability to plan, manufacture, and install cylindrical, square, or rectangular-shaped objects that have easily constructed fastenings such as single and double-hem edges and single, double or grooved seams. WG-09 and above - Experience or training in planning, layout, and construction skills to manufacture items and systems with dovetailed seams, set-in-bottom seams, burred-bottom seams, or wired or lock seams. Experience using more complicated shop tools and equipment. Experience in using metals including stainless steel, copper sheet, magnesium, honeycomb material and alloys. Experience demonstrating the use of more complicated mathematical calculations and complicated measuring instruments. Best qualified applicants will have Aircraft Structural Repair experience and previous/current possession of below listed military specialties is preferable: 2A7X3, 2A7X5, NOS A130, or MOS 15G.
