Job Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to perform work of limited scope or difficulty involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, and related utilities, and to assist journeyman or other higher graded maintenance workers in performing more difficult assignments associated with occupations such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, cement work, painting, roofing, and other related trades.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Knowledge of materials Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments Minimum Qualification Screen-Out Experience performing the following under general supervision: operating gasoline vehicles such as powered trucks, farm tractors, and light industrial tractors; AND performing grounds maintenance; AND minor duties in at least one of the carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, or masonry trades to construct, repair, restore buildings, fences, picnic areas, etc.; AND janitorial work without more than normal supervision.
