Job Summary

The primary purpose of the position is to perform recurring building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties and to assist journeymen and other higher graded maintenance workers. Incumbent utilizes knowledge and skills in several trades and crafts. The duties described by this position may not fully meet the type of work to be performed or there may be work that this position does not do in each of the specialties; however, if the general intent is met then this position is appropriate.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Knowledge of materials Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments Vehicle Operation SCREEN OUTS: Qualifications: Experience that demonstrates the ability to independently perform difficult and complex Maintenance Worker tasks in at least two of the trades listed above. Troubleshoot and take initiative to solve problems in accomplishing work assignments. Driver's License You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required. You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record. You must also submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you. If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
