Job Description
Minimum Qualifications: Directly related work experience that included the goals, principles, method of techniques, of outdoor recreation and understanding the interests of individuals and groups. Planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, or evaluating community, industrial, outdoor, institutional, or other recreational programs. Work experience supervising support staff in outdoor recreation programs. Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. Highly Qualified: Possess a Certified Leisure Professional through National Recreation and Park Association and work experience as indicated above. Bachelor's degree in the recreation/outdoor program areas. Minimum two years' experience managing an outdoor recreation program or comparable business operations. Leadership experience training/supervising staff in customer service, equipment handling/maintenance/repair, scheduling, inventory management, budget execution. Understanding of risk management and safety protocols for outdoor activities. Experience promoting rental services, outdoor programs or comparable business operations through events, workshops, marketing campaigns. Demonstrated achievements in difficult situation leading to program/operation improvement thro h creative problem solving and critical assessment.
