Job Description
APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Title 5 Excepted Service position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Non-Bargaining Position AOC A: NG employees at the Training Center AOC B: NG employees in the Training Center AOC C: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC D: All Service Members of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC E: Federal Employees in an Agency outside of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC F: U.S. Citizen Applicants Applicants who meet one of the DoD Priority Placement Program (PPP) categories below are eligible to apply with this preference. (See Required Documents section) Priority Placement Program, DoD Military Reserve (MR) and National Guard (NG) Technician Eligible Priority Placement Program, DoD MR and NG Preference Eligible Tech Receiving Disability Retirement Priority Placement Program, DoD Military Spouse Preference (MSP) Eligible Supervisor for this position is John Mance. *NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Tier 1 Security Clearance. *NOTE: If you're a new supervisor in the Federal Government civil service, you may have to complete a one-year probationary period. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Application must indicate 30 months of experience, education, or training planning layouts of storage. Experience compiling, analyzing and using data concerning storage space allocation, equipment uses, maintenance and personnel use. Experience conducting and completing projects and studies related to distribution and storage operations. Experience conducting surveys and providing technical assistance in determining the use of storage areas and the allocation of storage space. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
