About the Position: Serves as senior action officer on studies and projects related to resource management, mission/program execution, manpower, management, contract management oversight, and managerial accounting; and Deputy G-8 of the Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE), Fort Sill, OK with responsibility to assist in the planning, coordination and supervision of all matters pertaining to Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8 activities, with delegated authority to serve as Deputy Director.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes the following:1) Performing full scope of budget administration duties (programming, formulating, presenting, and executing). 2) Manage subordinate personnel workload to ensure maximum efficiency and integration of the various programs and systems; 3) Provide advisory services including financial information, trend analysis, cost estimate, budget, and accounting guidance to managers and staff to ensure compliance with regulatory policies and procedures; and 4) Analyze organizational budget and manning guidance, to include both narrative and quantitative portions, to determine impact of changes on assigned programs and funding levels. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget Administration Financial Management Managing Human Resources Oral Communication Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
