About the Position: This is a TERM NTE 2 years position as a Senior Cost Analyst with US Army Central G8 Resource Management Section Management, Shaw AFB, SC. Position may be filled as a Term Appointment not to exceed 2 years. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of eight years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight years. Position may be made permanent without further competition.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Designing cost management processes and costing methodologies to recognize, determine, accumulate, and report costs of activities; 2) Serving as a technical point of contact (POC) for financial management systems to include General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Standard Operation and Maintenance Army Research and Development System (SOMARDS), Resource Management Online (RM), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), or equivalent financial systems; and 3) Providing guidance concerning the legal and regulatory aspects of the acquisition and use of funds for program and administrative purposes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Concepts, Policies, and Principles of Finance Technical Competence Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
