You will serve as a SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST within NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD FAR EAST.
Job Description
In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing comprehensive procurement and contracting support and overseeing the success of government operations and long-term goals and capabilities. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Applying knowledge of Federal, agency, and local contract laws, regulations, principles, methods, processes, contract types, special provisions, and incentives for procurement of a variety of requirements for specialized equipment or services; 2) Applying knowledge of contracting policies and practices, performance requirements, and negotiation techniques to negotiate the acquisition of design services, systems, and construction; 3) Utilizing cost and price analysis principles, procedures, and techniques to analyze technical and financial data to evaluate a variety of pre-award and/or post-award procurement actions; 4) Conducting in-depth studies, developing policies, and publishing regulatory guidelines/materials; and 5) Providing expert technical guidance and direction to team members.
