You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER LEADER in the Materials Management Branch (Code 1410.3), Program Management Operations Division (Code 1410), Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) (Code 1400), located at Philadelphia, PA a detachment of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Job Description

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: Experience receiving material manually and systemically into warehouse from selected carriers and/or company for issuance to shop personnel, disposition to stock, or shipment to another location. Experience applying shipping methods and carrier requirements, and utilizes such for the shipment of crates, parcels, miscellaneous material, etc. Experience utilizing inventory control methods and standards pertaining to and accounting for material ordered for general consumption and storage, as well as marking and identifying material for storage. Experience creating and maintaining files, processing packing lists and shipping documents, creating and administering DD1149 documents, using Microsoft office proficiently, and using standard office equipment. Experience communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
