Job Summary
You will serve as a Engineering Technician in the Facilities Division, Business Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Engineering Technician specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a practical knowledge of the methods and techniques of engineering or architecture in support construction, repair and maintenance of fuel and non-fuel related facilities and perform administration and surveillance on a variety of related service, maintenance, and repair contracts. Specialized experience must include the following: 1) Apply engineering requirements to evaluate work requests, work performed, and prepare cost estimates that include labor hours and cost, material lists, and work requested; 2) Develop and maintain a database of cost trends to provide data to determine if charges are fair and equitable; 3) Perform site and work inspections to determine work performed, methods, and materials used are in accordance with the specified in service and/or maintenance contracts; 4) Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, sketches, and specifications for mechanical, structural, electrical, utility systems, or other facilities requirements; 5) Effectively communicate technical issues orally and in writing.
