You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH OFFICE of NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY HAMPTON ROADS.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing local standards, guidelines, standard operating procedures and instructions to identify and eliminate or control safety hazards; 2) Analyzing mishap data (maintenance shops, maritime work, military training) to determine origin and develop techniques to prevent or reduce the possibility of mishaps; 3) Analyzing construction standards, practices and techniques, materials, equipment and utilities systems to determine compliance with building safety standards and to develop effective control of work and equipment hazards.
