Job Description
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing technical expertise as a specialist in the field of quality assurance evaluations of ship overhaul and repair work involving nuclear systems. Experience with nondestructive testing as gained through experience in the theoretical and practical aspects of various NDT methods: Visual/Dimensional testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Radiography Testing, and Eddy Current Testing. Experience with audit, investigative, and analysis methods and techniques used to evaluate the performance of inspectors conducting nondestructive testing. Experience administering examinations for certification to personnel at all inspector, supervisory, and examiner levels in all methods of nondestructive testing. Experience planning, developing, authoring, and providing final authorization and approval of non-destructive testing procedures. Experience with military welding, brazing, and inspection standards.
