Job Summary

You will serve as a COMSEC MATERIAL ISSUING SPECIALIST in the DISTRIBUTION and ALLOWANCE DEPARTMENT of CMIO NORFOLK.

Job Description

To qualify for the COMSEC MATERIAL ISSUING SPECIALIST, GS-0301-11 position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with the Department of the Navy's (DON) COMSEC Material System and inventory and accounting procedures to correctly issue COMSEC material, hardware and software. Experience with and knowledge of Defense Courier Service flight schedules. Experience with and expert knowledge of COMSEC material required for both Atlantic Fleet and Pacific Fleet commands to issue unique key mat to support equipment in the different operating areas. Experience with all facets of CMIO operations, and the ability to respond appropriately in all emergency situations (including physical security) after normal working hours (07:30-16:30). Experience communicating with customers from assigned accounts on a variety of matters pertaining to COMSEC in accordance with established policies.
