Job Summary
You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the DEEP SUBMERGENCE SYSTEMS PROGRAM OFFICE, CODE 200DSS, ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Vacancies filled from this announcement may be filled at any grade level listed. You may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed.
Job Description
GS-12. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving a variety of budgetary problems such as development of alternative methods of funding using complex computer programs. Experience providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities. Experience developing, determining, and interpreting of budgetary policies and practices. Experience implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. GS-11. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing a variety of fiscal, accounting, and/or financial management duties and responsibilities. Experience performing a variety of analytical, technical, and administrative work for substantive programs and support activities. Experience researching regulatory material to obtain factual information utilizing an array of analytical techniques to search results utilizing complex computer programs. Experience formulating budget estimates for programs in which funding requirements often changes significantly.
