You will serve as a SUPERVISORY COMMUNITY PLANNER/GENERAL ENGINEER/ARCHITECT in the Planning, Design & Construction Directorate of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.

Job Description

This position has a Selective Placement Factor which is: Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is required. If you meet this requirement, it is highly recommended that you provide a copy of your current registration with your application. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Assigning work to subordinates based on priorities while considering the difficulty and requirements of the assignments, the type of work, existing workload, and the capabilities of the employees; 2) Serving as the Command's authority for strategic planning technical support, direction, and expertise; 3) Developing and supporting processes for efficient and effective execution of products and services and ensuring programming funds are properly obligated and expended; and 4) Administering Architect and Engineering (A&E) contracts, including reviewing and evaluating work performed under the contract for accuracy, adequacy, completeness and conformity with the contract and customer requirements.
