Job Description
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Supervisory Operations Research Analyst demonstrating the following: 1) Applying knowledge of various analytical, modeling, simulation, optimization, and scientific techniques to solve complex logistics problems; 2) Overseeing research and development work to evaluate the performance of the supply system, detect weaknesses, and propose remedial solutions; 3) Providing supervision and leadership in managing workload and training, mentoring, and guiding employees to complete complex analyses accurately, thoroughly, and on time; and 4) Dealing effectively with personnel internal and external to the command as the subject matter expert communicating both orally and in writing problems and proposed solutions to receive approval/buy-in from all parties involved.
