Job Summary
You will serve as an Accountant in the General Ledger Branch of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-02 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS 5 through GS-11. The NT-03 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 through GS-14. This position has a control point equivalent to the GS-12 step 10 level.
Job Description
NT-03: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 to GS-11 or NT-2 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Proficient knowledge of accounting policies, precedents, procedures, regulations, and financial management systems to provide solutions to accounting discrepancies; 2) Monitoring financial management information indicators to assess the operational health and audit readiness; 3) Developing and monitoring internal controls for major segments of accounting operations. NT-02: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-1 to GS-4 or NT-1 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and maintaining accurate spreadsheets to track, analyze and report status of funds; 2) Applying fiscal law, regulations, and local policies and procedures when advising stakeholders on issues related to financial transactions and recommending solutions; and 3) Preparing compliant Desk Guides and updating Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs).
