You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the Chief Engineering, Fluid/Mechanical Engineering and Planning Division of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF- Guam Detachment.
Job Description
GS-12:In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in non-nuclear fluid/mechanical submarine systems repair methods, development of technical work documents, and shipyard operations/procedures to support submarine maintenance. Experience in non-nuclear fluid/mechanical submarine system function and operations. Experience with the application of engineering principals and analysis in the troubleshooting and repair of ship system and components. Experience performing engineering studies and calculations to support departures from specification. Experience with intermediate level submarine maintenance and processes. Experience with coordinating and planning complex jobs with shipyard trades and technical community.
