Job Summary

You will serve as a Supervisory Contract Specialist in the Contracting Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING SYSTEMS COMMAND EUROPE AFRICA CENTRAL. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.

Job Description

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing both pre-award and post-award contracting functions relating to the planning, development, advertisement, award, and administration of contracts for design, constructi0on, alteration, maintenance, and facility support services. 2) Contracting policies and practices, performance requirements, and negotiation techniques to serve as lead negotiator in the acquisition of design services, systems, and construction. 3) Directing, coordinating, and overseeing the work of subordinate supervisors and non-supervisory personnel.
