Job Summary

You will serve as a Lead Fire Protection Inspector in the Fire and Emergency Services Division of NAVBASE KITSAP SILVERDALE WA. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assigning work to subordinates to balance workload in the face of competing priorities; 2) Developing a fire protection and prevention education and training program to educate firefighters and the general public on fire safety; 3) Performing fire inspections to identify fire hazards and recommend prevention techniques; 4) Reviewing new construction and renovation plans to ensure projects are compliant with building codes and fire protection ordinances.
